Visitors to Leicester and Leicestershire can discover more about the history of Richard III’s final days on two new short break offers running from June to September 2013.

The new ‘King Richard III short breaks’ are co-ordinated by Leicester Shire Promotions. The first is a £79 break for couples including a visit to Bosworth Battlefield Heritage Centre, one night’s three or four star accommodation with breakfast, traditional afternoon tea, and a Richard III and Leicester exhibition information pack. Visitors can also join the ‘The King’s Tour’ two-night short break and discover the sites in the city of Leicester, learn about the fascinating search for King Richard III’s body and find out about the final battle of the last Plantagenet King.

Visitors will enjoy a Blue Badge Guide walking tour, coach travel from Leicester to Bosworth Battlefield, entry to the Battlefield visitor exhibition, discounts on food and drink in the city and you can take home the ‘Richard III: A Pitkin Guide’ book – all from just £139 per couple.

‘The King’s Tour’ visit to Bosworth Battlefield runs on the first Sunday and Wednesday of each month from July to September 2013 so it is advised to pre-book your overnight stay to coincide with these dates including 2nd – 3rd July, 6th – 7th July, 3rd – 4th August, 6th – 7th August, 31st August to 1st September or 3rd – 4th September.
